WELCOME TO SAVANNAH!

Savannah is one of my favorite day trip spots from Charleston. The drive is easy, beautiful and only about two hours. It is very similar to Charleston in that there are historic buildings lining the streets, hidden cobble stone alleyways, and horse-drawn carriages every few blocks. This is our first of many mini guides to Savannah, Georgia so feel free to send us your recommendations + favorite places! We love trying out new restaurants and visiting small local shops.

EAT : COLLINS QUARTER

Collins Quarter was probably the most recommended spot before we set out for Savannah. They are closed a few days a week but the coffee + togo window is usually open for business! We were eager to start our trek towards the water so we ordered a few iced coffees + muffins and parked at these cute tables outside for a few minutes. Next time we visit I am definitely getting the Avocado Smash and the Biscuits Gone Wild - yep, I'll be ordering both.

SEE : HISTORIC STREETS

Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in the south. Just about every corner has a old historic home just waiting to have it's picture taken. Each home has the perfect foliage + and almost all of them have pretty little window boxes. I think I am particularly fond of this because it feels like Charleston, like home! How gorgeous is the marble staircase, black iron windows and double American flag combination? So much character

SHOP : THE PARIS MARKET

The Paris Market is by far one of my favorite shops in the south! It has a cafe stocked with coffee, frosé, and delicious baked goods. But that's only the top floor! Downstairs is stocked with beautiful home accessories, cookbooks, kitchen items, vintage furniture, art - I could go on and on. It is perfectly styled and stocked to meet all your needs.

EAT : SOHO SOUTH

Eating at Soho South was exactly what we needed after a long morning of walking. It's a big space, light + fun feel, and has AMAZING food! The menu looks good but the actual food goes way beyond what I expected. I would definitely hit Soho South again and recommend it to people visiting Savannah.

SHOP : SATCHEL

We passed Satchel on the way to lunch and decided to check it out when we were finished eating. It's such an awesome store because it doubles as a studio as well! They create handmade leather goods such as, bags, wallets, keychains, coasters, etc. Everything is made in the back of the shop and sold in the front. A must visit if you have an open afternoon in the city.

EAT : Chocolat by Adam Turoni

This chocolate shop is such a cool + unique space! Beautifully designed chocolates sit in glass cabinets surrounded by whimsical decorations that make you feel like you are in a different world.
