"A celebration of music, food, and libations curated by Shovels & Rope"

Davis and I had the wonderful opportunity to attend High Water Fest for it's inaugural year! It was truly one of the best weekends filled with good music, amazing food and seriously refreshing drinks. High Water was a wonderfully curated event with perfect branding and design. We really enjoyed wandering around the property while performers played in the background. I personally had never visited Riverfront Park, where High Water was held, so I was in for a nice treat. There are beautiful plantation houses, a riverfront walkway, a beautiful pier, and oak tress for miles. I really don't think they could have picked a better location for the first annual music festival!

Our Favorite Part :

It was one of the hottest days we've had this year so far. We sought out shade and found a little straw area with a few trees. I spread our blanket out in the small square of shade and we listened to Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires while watching the sun dance through the trees. It was so nice and relaxing.

A few other performers we loved :

- The Shins

- Lucius

- Julien Baker

and obviously we always love Shovels & Rope!

The Refuge : craft cocktails + local eateries including these amazing pork nachos and churros with homemade cream from Savory Sweet food truck!

A big thanks to Polished Pig Media, Shovels & Rope, and all of the wonderful sponsors for making this event so successful + fun. We can't wait to attend next year!
